How is a Life Path number calculated?

It's derived by reducing the digits of your full birth date down to a single number (or a Master Number — 11, 22, or 33 — which is kept unreduced).

Pythagorean or Chaldean — which numerology system does Synastri use?

Pythagorean is the default; you can toggle to Chaldean anytime and your Expression, Soul Urge, and Personality numbers update instantly, using each tradition's own letter-to-number table.

What's a Karmic Debt number, and does everyone have one?

Not everyone — it only appears if a 13, 14, 16, or 19 shows up while reducing your Life Path, Birthday, or Expression number. If none appear, no Karmic Debt is shown, not one invented.
