ᛒ Berkano

Berkano is named for the birch tree — one of the first to grow back on cleared or damaged ground, the same quality that opens the Celtic tree calendar's year with birch as well. Here it opens the Futhark's third and final aett, a fresh start signaled twice over in two different old systems.
